Belfast metalheads Heel of Achilles started out in 2014. They came together as teenage friends due to their common interest in heavy music. Since then they have released an EP, two singles and an Album, each release maturing their sound as they progress. They have since played a multitude of shows all over Ireland and now set their sights for a new frontier.
Heel of Achilles hosted a lot of DIY gigs in Jamlive in Belfast. In mid-2015 they would see packed night after packed night, in the Jamlive event hall located in the Blackstaff Mill building. This would bring bands from all over Ireland up to Belfast to share the stage with Heel of Achilles. They used one of these gigs as a launch for their first EP hosting 250+ people in the room of a repurposed mill building.
Since the closing of Blackstaff as venue, Heel of Achilles continued to gig around Belfast and Ireland in various well-known establishments such as Limelight, The Empire, Voodoo and Fibber Magee’s.
